The cafe is a nice local place. Staff is friendly and attentive, never a dry coffee cup. Prices are reasonable, food is very good. If you arrive during a rush you might be waiting a bit. Seating is a bit limited. My family and I have visited several times, always a good choice. We will return.

Great place. We love eating here, both breakfast and lunch items are always great!! Be prepared to wait for a table, though, this little place is very popular. For good reason, it's worth the wait.

My wife and I were recently visiting the area for our 25th Anniversary and ate at the Lighthouse Cafe two consecutive mornings. I'm hard to please when it comes to my coffee, and their's does not disappoint! Come hungry, because the portion sizes are generous and the food is fantastic! Their sweet cream blueberry pancakes are out of this world amazing! Their omelets are huge and very tasty. Best of all, their service was fast, courteous, and friendly! When we are back in Elberta, Lighthouse Cafe will be our breakfast spot for sure (and I want to try lunch too).

Lighthouse Cafe stands out to us for having very good and consistent service and consistently great food at a good price. We drive from Traverse City and have been many times on a Saturday or Sunday - usually in early afternoon.

Typical good "mom & pop shop" dinner food. Same for the prices and service.

For breakfast in the Elberta area, this little spot was spot on! Both indoor and outdoor seating options. Staff follows current COVID standards. Menu has all the standard breakfast items you want and the coffees hot! Family of 3 full breakfast plus drinks was only 28.00!!!! Prices are awesome and portions are filling! Grab yourself a deluxe breakfast burrito or that early bird special!

This place was recommended to us by an employee of a place we were staying nearby. I was not to impressed. The food lacked flavor and the coffee tasted watered down. The eggs tasted wet and the bacon was rubbery and flavorless. If I am going out for breakfast I hope to at least have decent eggs and bacon. The service was decent. Would not recommend or return.

Clean, cozy, and delicious! Wait staff was *very* friendly, the coffee was excellent, the food was exceptional. We got the early bird specials, and particularly loved the pancakes. They know how to do the simple things very well. A great breakfast nook that I strongly recommend.

I grew up in Elberta, and now live down south. I love coming to this restaurant whenever I go up north and visit my family. The food is out of this world GOOD!

Fresh, tasty food in a down home atmosphere. In the summer, be prepared to wait as it is not very big. Oh so worth the wait!

My wife & I stopped by the Lighthouse Cafe for breakfast while on a weekend getaway, and were so impressed! Marcy greeted us and was just so kind. Regarding the food, it was 5-star! We had the sweet cream pancakes and bacon breakfast burrito. The pancakes were fluffy and so creamy. They just melted in our mouths. My wife said they were quite honestly the best she had ever had. Amazingly well cooked! How did they do that?! The breakfast burritos were the perfect blend of flavors; best I’ve ever had, & I’m 56! Regarding the service, “Crystal” was friendly & very responsive. I have been to many breakfast places across Michigan and this is by far the best place ever. The best pancake I have ever had. Makes me want to drive back up for three hours just for this breakfast. Highly recommend. Might even put a chef Ramsay pancake to shame 😁

We were told a 25 minute wait which was 45 us minutes. We saw the empty tables as did the other people waiting. The cream curdled in my coffee and i received a look when I asked for another cup. Then I was given eggs not the way I ordered. Normally, just would have eaten them but they were very dry. The waitress was not attentive at all. When I told about the eggs, she looked at her note pad & said she would be back. She said she heard scrambled when I ordered sunny side up and I could have the sunny side up eggs. She never apologized for the mistake, nothing. Our coffee cups sat empty, waiting for a refill. Even when we were paying the check, no common courtesy. Do not come here if you like decent or friendly service.

Small cozy place with excellent breakfast food and friendly accommodating staff. Coffee is very good and refilled frequently. Sunday is a busy day but we caught it at just the right time with no wait. Definitely worth coming back here.

I had the #1 and my husband had the shipwreck hashbrowns. We enjoyed both. There were a lot of customers in this little cafe, but staff really knew their stuff!

They have a small menu, but there were quite a few nice things offered on their breakfast menu. I went with the breakfast sandwich which was okay. My boys had the chocolate chip pancakes and those were very good. My fiance had the vegetarian omelet and he was pleased with it. The waitress was on point with everything and kept my coffee filled the entire time. They do have an early bird special if you get there before 9am. Overall, this was a great breakfast place and we wouldn't hesitate to go back again.

Delicious!!! We stopped in for brunch after a morning in the woods. Quaint little spot, waitress was really sweet and kept my coffee full!! We both had the Farmers omelet.
